Jubilee Furniture weekly update post for Thursday, December 4, 2014
No update photos on the building progress because it didn’t look any different from last week (not to say work wasn’t accomplished – but it wasn’t work that I could see from the exterior). Remember – our normal store hours continue throughout the construction (Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 8 and Saturdays from 9 to 4).
Let’s get right to it then!
What follows are photos of some of our current inventory. You can see even more photos at the Furniture Gallery (which has amazing sorting powers – so fun and extremely helpful).
Oh, and the Jubilee Furniture Facebook page (which a fabulous volunteer put together several years ago and it’s been languishing ever since) is s-l-o-w-l-y being used as another means of communication.
Moving right along…
I know I took a lot of photos of this sweet hanging small cabinet – but I was so taken with it I couldn’t help myself! Priced $45
at 8’ 3” this is probably the longest coffee table I’ve ever seen! It’s also 22 1/2” across and only 13” off the ground – but there’s something really cool about it and if you had the space – it’s amazing! Priced $55
Crate & Barrel sofa – sorta a canvas type of fabric (there are several spots that need cleaning) – in good condition. Priced $185
leather and pleather chair in great condition – priced $60
wonderful marble top entry or hall table by Weiman. Love the smoked mirror (is that what’s it’s called? Or distressed mirror?). In excellent condition. Priced $145
Man-oh-man! This is a Sligh grandfather clock that’s simply gorgeous! Sligh discontinued manufacturing grandfather clocks in 2005. The workmanship of this clock is amazing! The chime is lovely! Priced $2,000
large black coffee table by Lane in excellent condition – priced $75
Ashley Furniture leather sofa for $225
this Bernhardt sofa looks to be in great shape yet it’s priced only $95 – so either I missed something or it’s the deal of the week!
wonderful gray Room & Board chaise – I noticed several spots that need cleaning – priced $125
from a distance I thought this was an extremely awkward rocker for a small child but then the tag says it’s a foot stool and I was all – “Ooooooh! That’s fun!”. And priced only $15
I take it back – THIS is my deal of the week! Trestle table with two leaves, table pads and EIGHT chairs. One chair has arms and one chair has ONE arm (the other arm broke off). Table top looks good. Chairs are good (fabric on the seat cushions is dated and a few spots but not bad). Priced $135 for the whole kit-and-caboodle!
I love check. I love button back. I love nail-head trim. I love wingbacks. Put them ALL TOGEHER and we’re talking more love than I can type! Here are two red checked, button back, wingback chairs with nail-head trim. Both chairs and the ottoman need to be cleaned. One chair is missing three buttons and is priced $65. The other wingback is being sold with the ottoman for $85 (and I couldn’t see anything – other than needing to be cleaned – wrong with either that chair or the ottoman). In the second to last photo is a super fabulous floor lamp with a shade that has fringe on it – for $30. And that last photo gives you a better view of a fantastic chest of drawers which is priced $125. Wow. Love. Everything. In. These. Photos.
lovely marble top side table for $50
Oh HOLD THE BUS – these MIGHT be the deal of the week! Again both chairs need to be cleaned but other than that I couldn’t see anything wrong with either one (though I didn’t push ‘em apart to see the sides). They’re a bit oversized and very comfortable and priced $25 each (yep – deal of the week! I told you.)
great condition stackable chairs by Virco. We have 26 of them and they’re priced $25 each. Retail for $48.99
fabulous rolling task table priced $60
we received a number of these flip-top, rolling desks by Balt for donation this week. The half round retails for $234.95 yet we’re selling it for $30. The rectangle one is priced $35; and the corner – fan shaped one – is $20 (I didn’t look all of them up for the retail price but that first link takes you to a website where you can look around if interested)
three adjustable stools (though they don’t get any higher than desk height). Two with the tan upholstery are by Ritter and priced $20; the gray one with chrome legs is also $20
WOW – this oak roll top desk is a drawer lovers DREAM! Look at all those drawers and slots! There are even drawers where you wouldn’t think there’d be drawers! Made by Winners Only and sold through Classic Oak – this desk retail for $1,799.97. Jubilee Furniture price? $435 and that includes the chair too! Last photo is of the BACK of the desk (so you can see that’s it’s finished on all sides)
note the scalloped edges on the glass top of this lovely glass and metal coffee table. Priced $50
Just a reminder our store hours over Christmas and New Years will be as follows: CLOSED Thursday, December 25th; open 1 to 8 on Friday, December 26th; and open 9 to 4 on Saturday, December 27th. CLOSED Thursday, January 1st; open 1 to 8 on Friday, January 2nd; and open 9 to 4 on Saturday, January 3rd.
Happy trails, dear reader!
