2012: A year in chairs

What a year it has been, looking back at 2012 takes my breath away! It's been an amazing year of rescuing destitute chairs and dressing them up for a fun new start... here's just a few of my absolute favourites from this year, some have been customer's treasures reborn, most I have scavenged along the way. All have been saved from the rubbish heap and are now dearly loved by their owners...

I often want to keep my beauties, but always find myself filling my home with the next projects in waiting! I have loads of fabulous new (old) pieces to start on for 2013... it's going to be a great year!

Happy 2013 to you too! xxx

T&J Wallpaper! AWESOME

A pretty fabulous announcement today, my unique fabric designs are now available as wallpaper ready to order now! Some of them would look incredible as part of a child's bed room or in your entry.

The great news is it is easy to remove with no damage to your painted walls, so it's perfect for renters, or nervous scaredy cats afraid of commitment!! The paper comes pre pasted, so there's no mixing up your pastey goo. Buy a swatch for $5, or a 3.6m roll for $60 (plus postage). The whole range is available now - how awesome!!

I've ordered 2 rolls of Black and white Raindrops to finally finish off my main bathroom. Stay tuned after Christmas for the results!

Until then, check out this fabulous project by Caitlin Topham. She has used my Raindrops design and a pretty blue paint job to revive a tired old bedside unit. What a fabulous make-over!

How excitement! Are you feeling inspired?

Working on: Cushions

Just completed - 30 cushions for a gorgeous Woden cafe re-do, in T&J fabric designs in custom colours! More pics in situ when the cafe launches soon.

My Herringbone, Moldings, and Fanpod designs have been transformed in coral and stone and complimented by a plain coral. And they look fabulous in the cotton linen canvas!

A little bit like guava gelati... Yummy!

This week: I've been making...

These chairs have gone from drab to re-fabbed, freshly upholstered in super beautiful linen, while holding on to their retro awesome looks...

While the arm is high, it will happily slide under an overhanging table top, so they are ideal as a dining or desk chair, or for a corner in your lounge or bedroom.

I've also been working on a few more table lamps and cushions, mmm mmm velvet and linen!

And just a couple of neutrals! White with taupe and a splash of silver and chocolate...

You can get yours at Canberra's Handmade Market on March 10 and 11 at the National Convention Centre, unless they are snapped up first! For full pricing and info visit Tango & James on Facebook.
