Located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, this place, a former ambulance garage was transformed into a lovely home by Doepel Strijkers together with LEX Architects. Situated in the center of the city, the house now benefits from wonderful and very convenient surroundings.
It has a park nearby and, in order to take advantage of this feature, the architects replaced a rear wall with a large glass window. This way a very close relationship is established with the park and the inhabitants can admire it and enjoy its beauty from the comfort of their home.
The house has two levels. The upper floor is a polycarbonate structure with integrated LED lights and it contains the bedrooms. It’s situated directly above the kitchen and living area. On the ground level there’s a very nice sunken seating area with a bright orange color that makes it stand out.
